I am not a ACNH player but now I see myself as a desert island now (lols). I asked my friend to live stream themselves playing ACNH and found the game is indeed engaging with a blend of game design efforts: the character design, bouncy shapes and texture, the social interactions with virtual and real friends, the motion, the sound effect...
I would call it a perfect blend of cuteness and engagement. It does show you the positive side of life. Content writing is part of its harmonious philosophy, and a such nice demonstration of how to engage player/user with positive emotions.
There are lot to learn from video games in terms of UX design - about how to engage your audience. For example: Progressive rewards, engaging visual and copywriting. Games also minimizes action cost and encourage swift action to its greatest extend. Thanks for sharing from a content writer's perspective!
